Vividia U-101 U2i Converter Adapter for USB Borescope to iOS Devices (iPhone and iPad)

Two apps can be used with Vividia U2i adapter: "VividiaCam" and "Mo-View". Both can be downloaded from Apple's app store.

​Vividia U2i Adaptor for iPhone and iPad is a simple converter for most USB cameras or USB scopes. USB cameras are generally only compatible with Windows PC, MacBook, Android, Chromebook and Linux OS devices, but not with an iOS device, such as iPhones and iPad. Vividia u2i converter combining with a right app solves this problem. It enable an end users to use their USB cameras, USB borescopes, USB microscopes on their iPhone or iPad.

1. Scan the QR code to download the app from Apple's app store

2. Search "Mo-View" in the App Store.
Compatible iOS devives:
  • iOS and iPadOS 10.0 and above
  • iPhone 5S and later
  • iPad Air and later; iPad mini 2 and later; iPad Pro; iPad 7th Gen and later
​How to Use:
 
  1. Download and install the app “Mo-View” on iPhone or iPad from Apple’s app store
  2. Connect the u2i adaptor to the USB camera on the female USB-A port
  3. Connect the u2i adaptor on the other end to iPhone or iPad through the USB-C plug or the lighting plug
  4. Open the “Mo-View” app
  5. One can see the preview images.
  6. Pictures and videos can be stored on the iPhone or iPad

Procesure:

1. Open the "VividiaCam" app
2. Connect the u2i adapter and the USB camera to the iOS device, i.e. iPhone
3. Preview video will show up after ~10 seconds
4. Zoom in and out 
5. Rotate or flip the preview image
6. Take pictures or videos with the snap or recording buttons
7. Review the image and video files in the file folders. 
8. After job is done, unplug the USB camera and the u2i adapter, and close the "VividiaCam" app.
Troubleshooting for common issues with the U-101 U2i adapter:
  1. No image after connecting a USB camera and U2 i adapter to an iPhone on the "VividiaCam" app. 
Three things to try first, and it will solve the issue most of times. 
  • Restart your iPhone or iPad
  • Remove the "VividiaCam" app, then re-install the app from the app store
  • If these two methods do not work, you need to check the USB camera. Normally it is easy to use a USB camera on a Windows PC to see if the camera is good or not. If the USB camera has problem to work on a PC, the focus will on the USB camera. 

Note:
  1. Do not use a generic USB-C to lighting adapter on the U2i. It will not work most of time. 
  2. Choose higher camera resolutions after you get a live image.
